An Excellent Reference for Practice,
By bhaladog (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Practical Handbook of Grouting: Soil, Rock, and Structures (Hardcover)
I have used this text extensively as a practicing engineer on projects requiring ground treatment. In some cases, it was used as a reference in order to provide information on potential grouting options. In others, it was used on projects that involved the design, observation, and monitoring of geotechnical grouting. All around, this must be considered the definitive work to-date on grouting design and construction for geotechnical purposes. Warner's book is up-to-date (as nearly as a published text can be) with the latest concepts, construction techniques, design methodologies, and suggestions. It has proven so valuable to me in my work, that I have consulted the author on grouting issues.
This is a must-have text for engineers and contractors involved in grouting.

This review is from: Practical Handbook of Grouting: Soil, Rock, and Structures (Hardcover)
This book provides a comprehensive guide to many types of grouting. It has many common sense approaches to solving different problems and describes different processes and procedures in detail. We are a specialty geotechnical contractor and I provide a copy of the book to our engineers and any field personnel that aspires to be a superintendent. The book has a lot of technical information but you do not need a technical background to understand it.

This review is from: Practical Handbook of Grouting: Soil, Rock, and Structures (Hardcover)
Good reference on grouting that runs from basic descriptions and introduction to in depth overviews of specific grouting topics. Excellent for entry level all the way up to a engineer/specifiers desk reference. I think this was worth the $100+ price.
