This review is from: Practical Interfacing in the Laboratory: Using a PC for Instrumentation, Data Analysis and Control (Hardcover)
I ordered this book specifically because it included programming examples for the Data Translation 3010 plug-in board. The examples given in the book are more than sufficient for showing users how to use this product (as well as other Data Translation products such as their newer USB DAQ modules)for data acquisition.
The author covers virtually all topics necessary for the reader to gain a solid understanding of what is required to interface sensors and actuators to an IBM PC. I particularly liked the discussion of op-amps in Chapter 2. There are twenty-seven laboratory exercises that illustrate the concepts covered in the text. These exercises cover a broad range of real-world data acquisition scenarios. |
