This review is from: Practical Judgments: Essays in Culture, Politics, and Interpretation (Hardcover)
Practical Judgments: Essays In Culture, Politics, And Interpretation by Mark Kingwell (Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Senior Fellow of Massey College, University of Toronto) is an impressively erudite selection of philosophical essays focusing on commonplace evaluations and the so-called "common sense" in human life. Professor Kingwell applies the logic of philosophy and theories by Nietzsche, Hussert, Adorno, as well as the thoughts of more contemporary figure such as Cary Grant and Bruce Mau, directly to everyday life experiences. Enhanced with extensive bibliographical references and a comprehensive index, Practical Judgments is a thoughtful and thought-provoking read which is highly recommended for students of philosophy and contemporary culture.
