5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC!
If regency romance is your forte, then you will be delighted with this tale. It is somewhat of the Cinderella theme, but it comes across well. Look for a sequel to this tale involving the younger brother to expand your enjoyment of these likeable characters.

2.0 out of 5 stars He Said, She Said
Don't bother with this book. The author created interesting characters and visited all the typical Regency locations (Vauxhall Gardens, Almack's, Hyde Park) but there is so much malicious gossip masquerading as plot that I found myself skipping forward a lot until one scene or another was over. I'll think twice before buying another by this author.

The Rake and the Widow

Sir Jason Hunter could not let a young widow fall into ruin when he could so easily help. His intentions were purely honorable, but then the lady herself surprised him with an offer of a carte blanche!

Helen Marlowe's despicable brother had left her nearly penniless, and she knew that becoming Jason's mistress was the only practical solution. She told herself the decision was made with her head, not her heart, and had nothing to do with the way this notorious rake made her feel - or the look in his eyes that promised such heady delights....
