An excellent SpellJammer resource,

This review is from: Practical Planetology (AD&D/Spelljammer Module SJR4) (Paperback)
Practical Planetology was written as a companion to the AD&D (2nd edition) SpellJammer campaign. Based on the title, you might expect it to have charts and/or suggestions on creating worlds for your campaign. This is not the case. Instead, this book contains the details of 15 fascinating worlds: 5 earth bodies, 2 fire bodies, 3 water bodies, 2 air bodies, and 3 unusual or "non-standard" worlds. Also contained are the details of 10 new monsters.Though this book contains no theoretical data on world design, its 15 practical examples contain a wealth of information for would-be world-builders. For example, Comporellon has an acidic cloud layer, Falx has a high CO2 atmosphere, Armistice is a very high gravity world, Torus is shaped as a torus, and much more. If you run a SpellJammer campaign, you should get this book. |
