This review is from: Practical aromatherapy: understanding and using essential oi (Paperback)
This is one of the most informative paperbacks on the subject of practical aromatherapy. Useful for beginners as well as those who have more experience. Covers most major essential oils by discussing descriptive qualities and properties, recipe blends, info on carrier oils, as well as historical information on individual oils and aromatherapy itself. A large selection of recipes categorized by ailment/desire is very helpful (and refered to often). A decent index is also included. For those looking for magickal information, this is not the book for you. There are no corresponding tables (such as the ruling planet, candle colour-spectrum, male/female characteristics, etc.) and no recipes for making your own incense or personal body oils. There is, however, enough descriptive information contained within the individual entries for the experienced magickal worker to develop personalized recipes. For the holidays, I am giving a friend of mine a few starter bottles and this book so that she may begin to enjoy the art of "Practical Aromatherapy".
