How to Clean Practically Anything by Edward Kipple,
This review is from: How to Clean Practically Anything (Paperback)
This is a manual for everyone about cleaning everything, as the title suggests. Beautifully non-biased and generic; teenagers, newlyweds, professionals, men, women, and children can benefit from it's categorical and common sense approach, and derive universal applications. Not the publication of any company or corporation, brand names are not used. Extensive comparative research usually provides for more than one option for any cleaning problem, often in a small med. large format. After reading through once for basic input, keep it real handy to consult before any project. The book will either steer you in the right direction or confirm that you are on course.

A definite must!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Clean Practically Anything (Paperback)
After my son wrote all over the carpet, TV, fireplace, VCR, door, window, coffee table, entertainment center, and walls with a sharpie marker, I called my sister in a panic. She grabbed this book and told me the suggestions for cleaning ink stains. I got the marker off the carpet and entertainment center completely and greatly reduced the stain on the rest. I am ordering this book TODAY. It is a must have in our house with 2 toddlers and another on the way!!!

If you are looking for a book that tells you the steps of how to do each specific task it brings up - this is not a manual.
If you are looking for concepts for the clueless person to build wisdom (the why behind the answer) then this is the book for you! The price on this book was so low it seems way too devalued - I'd buy it for $2.00 at least and I bought it for ~half a dollar! It includes a whole lot of common sense and is a guide to point you in the right direction when you don't know where to start. Yes you will need to do a little more research yourself for your particular situation but it has warnings about common pitfalls and helps you steer clear of bad situations! You may be the person whose mother taught you everything she knew and all her little tricks too - this book is not for you. This book is for those who didn't have mothers or whose mothers didn't teach them these things or (insert other category here so you feel included...). ** I found the section about water treatment particularly helpful as I live in a bad watered community!

An Okay Book,

This review is from: How to Clean Practically Anything (Paperback)
This is an okay guide for how to clean "practically anything," but it's outdated. And, there are other books which are more detailed. Plus, there's the internet.

This book was 10 years old! Way out of date long before appliances like stainless steel etc.etc. Flipped through it and them through it in the garbage.
