A delightful, sweet romance, August 20, 2003
This review is from: Practice Makes Mr Perfect (Mass Market Paperback)
Police detective Brett Callahan needs help getting the woman he wants to marry to the alter. He turns to his neighbor and good friend, Josie Matthews, for help. Josie is glad to be of assistance. After the loss of her beloved Danny, she knows she won't be tempted by Brett's goodlooks, gentleness, sexyness--umm, maybe she should rethink this teaching thing! This was a wonderfully warm, funny and romantic story that didn't require explicite sex to get the love story across. The struggle Brett has with himself when he find himself drawn to Josie is very well done.

This isn't a story...., February 12, 2009
This review is from: Practice Makes Mr Perfect (Mass Market Paperback)
...it's a glimpse of time. Just Josie Matthews "teaching" her neighbor and friend Brett Callahan how to entice another woman to marry him. Did I believe anyone could be so dense? No.
Lack of communication between the two main characters kept the story going until the end. I felt that was the only reason the author could make this situation almost two hundred pages. There are so many other great romances that are out there...don't waste your time or money on this book.

TEACH ME HOW TO...
Police detective Brett Callahan thought he needed love lessons to lure the woman of his dreams to the altar, so he convinced his neighbor, Josie Matthews, to play teacher. But none of his teachers had been as sweet and seductive as Josie, and none of their lessons had evoked passion like this!
Josie saw no harm in giving Brett a few pointers on the art of courtship. After all, she was immune to his attractions. But after a few "practice" dates, she longed for Brett in ways she hadn't realized - and that scared her. For Brett was off-limits, and she couldn't risk giving her heart unless she could convince him to make her his bride!
