Multimodal Therapy, practical & comprehensive,
By Charles E Winters Jr (Texas, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Practice of Multimodal Therapy: Systematic, Comprehensive, and Effective Psychotherapy (Paperback)
I give Multimodal Therapy a five star rating. This book provides a systematic and usable model of assessment in counseling, yet gives the user of MMT complete freedom in choosing and creating appropriate interventions. This book discusses the theory behind the MMT model and presents examples of the model at work in different therapuetic contexts. I believe that the MMT model is the most easily understood and usable model of assessment and intervention in counseling to date! This book is definitely a good addition to any person's library who is in the helping and/or mental health profession.

A Mustg Read,
This review is from: The Practice of Multimodal Therapy: Systematic, Comprehensive, and Effective Psychotherapy (Paperback)
I taught this model for 37 years. It is the best approach for helping others and yourself. I met the author several times and discussed with him about teaching this model to community college students. Also there are good films with him working with clients. His model made me appreciate all forms of therapy and how to integrate them into a comprehensiveness way of helping others. One of the problems with present day therapist is they are not taught this model and only learn one model of doing therapy. Without this model they tend to treat all clients the same. What a tragedy!
