The Practice of Ritual Magic,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Practice of Ritual Magic: Powerful Aids to Concentration and Visualization (Paperback)
I picked this book up thinking there was nothing within the pages which I had not already read elsewhere. However, as I began to actually read the book I became aware that I was being given full instructions for the construction and utilization of a fully operative magical temple-from the physical accouterments of laying out a temple, acquiring tools and robes, etc. down to the explanation of ceremonial form and the actual construction of a full ritual. This is a very informative and useful, practical book that every magician should have for reference!

This review is from: The Practice of Ritual Magic: Powerful Aids to Concentration and Visualization (Paperback)
Those who know Gareth Knight's writing will need no encouragement to purchase this useful text on ritual.
I first did rituals some 45 years ago, but you know what? I learned things from this book. I constructed rituals for our group using materials in this book and we all agreed it was a valuable days working. If I were to offer advice it would be to take each thing he defines and explains, and then practice that thing like a drill. You'll be surprised at how many "rough edges" you find...and how easily they are smoothed out using this book. |
