Though classified as a floral scent, Infusion D'Iris is much more sofisticated and unlike anything else you can find in a department store. It has that "small boutique" feel. When I spray the perfume on my body, the most recognizable top notes are iris, cedar and incense, balanced by greenery. The resulting olfactory sensation evokes a memory of being caught in a warm rain in a cedar wood with the ground covered with blooming irises. Warm, pleasant and light, but long lasting. On occasion, I can feel it linger thru the following morning, while I undress for a shower.

There is a difference when someone says to you "you smell so good", vs. "your perfume smells so good"... When wearing Infusion D'Iris, the first compliment is the one I get most often. The perfume does NOT overwhelm the person. Which is great if you work in a tight environment. Your co-workers will thank you ;o).

The only downside I can think of is that the scent is now gaining in popularity. My consolation is that its prevailing notes do seem to change significantly depending on the individual wearer's body chemistry (unlike Eternity, for example, which is VERY recognizable, regardless on whom it is). It is a light scent that is warm enough to do well in the winter months as well. Enjoy!

I absolutly love this perfume! The scent is crisp and clean, not too strong. I get so many compliments when I have it on. Usually I am one to switch perfumes after one runs out but I have bought this one 3 times already.

First off, let me say that I'm not a "girlie-girl" fragrance lover. I don't typically go for floral fragrances and am more of the citrusy or woodsy type.

That said, I've enjoyed some pretty feminine (read: basically floral) fragrances in my time. Laura Ashley's #1 is my all-time fave, but it's discontinued and won't ever make its way back onto my dresser again, alas.

I'd been looking for a new fragrance to fall in love with, but I was truly bored by everything I sampled. Either the fragrances all smelled alike or were too intensely this or that. Too fruity--can you say "canteloupe!!!!!"? Or way too flowery.

Anyway, one day I was at Sephora just trying out some fragrances I'd gotten recoms for, and there was this one fragrance just sitting there in front of me and I found myself reaching for it even though I had a feeling it would be too girlie for me.

It was Prada Infusion d'Iris, and from the moment I sprayed that perfume onto my left wrist, I was hooked. It starts a little powdery in scent, with a stronger floral intensity, but within about 10 minutes it became more subtle, with the hints of iris peeking through, and even some of the cedar it touted on the front of the box. It was so lovely that I found myself sniffing my arm over and over. No matter when I sniffed it, it smelled light and fresh and not at all overpowering. It's a perfect summer fragrance, but here in South Texas, it could be perfect year-round, as we have pretty warm falls and winters.

If you like light, sweetly floral, slightly-soapy (read: clean and fresh) scents, this one will likely make you close your eyes and smile.

This is my new go-to scent for warm weather. I have been a White Linen wearer for years and this scent is reminiscent of that but has more subtle layers. I can definitely smell the iris, which makes it really stand out as different!
