(RAW Rating: 3.5) - A Plan Doesn't Always Work,
By The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (RAWSISTAZ.com and BlackBookReviews.net) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Prada Plan (Paperback)
Disaya "YaYa" Morgan was raised in a loving home, even though her father is a pimp and her mother is his prostitute. They explained their lifestyle to seven-year-old Disaya, but that didn't matter to her because she loved playing with her mother's expensive clothes and Prada shoes. Disaya is an exceptionally beautiful little girl, and because she likes the finer things, her mother advised her to have a plan to get those things, on her own, when she got older.
Disaya's world crumbles when her father is charged for the murder of her mother. Since there are no other relatives, she is placed in a foster care home, where she meets her soon to be best friend, Mona. As if that isn't enough, Disaya is soon raped by the foster care mother's son, she and Mona are subject to sexual abuse for several years; until they are able to escape and live on their own. Disaya is approached to work as a model in an organization known as The Elite. However, she is unaware what The Elite really is and soon realizes she's stepped into a world of sex and deceit. When Disaya and Indie see each other for the first time, there's an immediate attraction. As they begin to fall in love, Disaya continues to keep her lifestyle a secret, but her Prada Plan is beginning to unravel. THE PRADA PLAN will hold its reader captive to the very end with drama, lies, sex and a little suspense. This book is the first installment of the Prada series and I'm looking forward to the next installment. Reviewed by Sharon Lewis of The RAWSISTAZ (tm) Reviewers

Wow a true literary talent!,
By Book Addict 4 Life (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Prada Plan (Paperback)
Wow. That sums this book up in one short quick summary. It was amazing. This young woman is so talented. First, she brings the hotness with JaQuavis in six co-authored books under the pen name Ashley JaQuavis and now she bursts onto the scene solo and swinging harder than ever, to top it all of she's just a baby with her young self. She is truly an inspiration to young girls everywhere. A true talent and Prada Plan solidifies her among the best women in street fiction.
Prada Plan is about Disaya Morgan, poor little YaYa as she is nicknamed. Daughter of an infamous pimp and whore she struggles from a very young age. Her mother put the hustle in her and like mother like daughter she follows in her footsteps by taking to the sheets to make a quick buck. Ya-Ya and Mona join Elite, and these women are elite to the utmost because next thing I know Ya-Ya is having relations with one of Miami's most sought after b-ball players. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but he's a looker and every woman's fantasy, but Ya-Ya snagged that and kept it pushing. Then Leah entered the picture and this chick is loco, psycho, and plain ol' craaaaazy! She has got to be the best villian in a novel that I've ever read about. She's the devil in hot girl clothing and she ruins everything for Ya-Ya,especially her relations with Indie. Indie is a bad boy with a good heart and wants to rescue Ya-Ya from the hood, but her life with elite is a secret and she is getting in deeper and deeper just trying to hide it from him. I could go on forever and ever about this book. I have been waiting on this to drop for a year and it was well worth it. It pulls at your heart, makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you shout "WTF!" This girl knows how to write a helluva story! And the ending! Oh! Goodness it had me going then left me hanging, but I'm not complaining. As many bad street books that I've read in the past year I don't mind a good one that makes me want more. I will be the first in line to get Prada Plan 2! She and JaQuavis are the TRUTH with a capital T and I am a fan for life now. If you do not have this book then you are really tripping because this right here is sure to burn the shelves it's just that hot!

This review is from: Prada Plan (Paperback)
Ashley Antoinette 1/2 of the dynamic writing duo Ashley JaQuavis releases her first solo project with Prada Plan; which readers got a sneak peek of in Girls From the Hood 4 (Girls from Da Hood) (No. 4). Finally the story is told in it's entirety and readers will not be disappointed.
Disaya's Prada Plan has left her life in shambles and she's struggling to put it back together again. But that's much easier said than done when the love of your life (Indie) thinks that you're responsible for the death of his brother. Not even the fact that she's pregnant with his baby stops the beating that Indie puts on her when her treacherous past is revealed. Will Disaya win back the same heart that she caused to shatter? Especially if that heart has begun to open up to the woman that has vowed to destroy her. Prada Plan is a quick and immensely satisfying read that not only showcases Ms. Antoinette's literary skills but proves that whether part of a team or solo she can tell one hell of a story!!
