Ordered a bi-fold twin from Oversize Solutions to see if this bed was as all the reviews claimed it to be. Received a quad-fold instead (no complaint here, it's the more expensive option), and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this product. Baked enamel finish, six sturdy feet, easy setup, and plenty of vertical and horizontal supports for the mattress. Ordered another bi-fold from the same company about a month later and again received a quad-fold (good to go), but was a bit miffed that the frame had been slightly redesigned. It's now a powder-coated finish which isn't really an issue, it's just different, but the center support feet are smaller, there are fewer horizontal and vertical supports, and set up is more complicated as it requires the removal and replacement of 4 wing nuts to secure the foldout portions of the frame. Not a huge deal, but the original design had support brackets that snapped into place as the frame was opened. I was most disappointed in the reduction of the wire-like supports that are spaced across the width of the bed (these are clearly visible in the pictures) from 9 to 7, and the thicker supports spaced along the length of the frame has been reduced from 12 to 10. A cost cutting measure most likely. Still an excellent frame, but it takes a hit with this redesign.

Very study, easy to set up and store away. Makes your inflatable guest bed more user friendly by raising it off the ground with storage underneath. Now my reading room can easily accomodate a full size bed for company without having it there all of the time. Wonderful option.

I needed a bed frame that could be easily assembled/disassembled, offer excellent support, and function as the box spring under an IKEA twin sized mattress. I made my decision based upon the comments left by other reviewers and I shopped around on Amazon to find the lowest price (note: the same item is sold by several vendors through Amazon). I paid about $100 for it, including shipping and it arrived quickly and without any complications. The bed was easy to set up. The first thing I found remarkable was the number of support wires. You can see them in the photo, and they are all made of durable metal and closely spaced. The only modification that I made was to put a sliced tennis ball under each of the six legs so the metal feet would not scratch my floor. The twin IKEA mattress fit like a dream, and the combination affords a very comfortable, yet sturdy, bed. The height of this mattress/frame might be slightly lower than a standard bed, but it is fine. As I said, this bed frame exceeded my highest expectations. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this product to use as a platform for an air mattress for guests. When not in use, it is stored with the mattress in a closet, which is very convenient. The unit is very sturdy, easy to assemble and provides a solid platform for the mattress. We've used it twice now for week long visits, one of which was my 84 year old parents. Everyone was happy with the bed and its comfort and stability. I'm very pleased with this product.

My son and daughter were switching rooms. She had a twin size bed in her third floor bedroom, but he had a double. Because of a narrow set of stairs, there was no way we were going to get a double size box spring into his new third floor room, so I started looking for alternatives and found the Pragma Bed.

Because this double size mattress platform comes in two folding parts, it was a snap to get it up the stairs. The two pieces are pretty heavy, but that was reassuring in terms of the potential durability. We purchased the Pragma Bed and he is using it now.

I read the reviews critical of the platform's durability, but one review in particular suggested that the bed is solid, it's the assembly instructions that are poor. Don't get me wrong; when I say assembly, the process is VERY simple. The two pieces just unfold and then it is very easy to attach them together. It took me just 15 minutes to set up the platform and throw the mattress on top.

The problem is that the instructions fail to mention that it is necessary to turn out and bolt two support pieces on each end of the bed. I was VERY appreciative of this other reviewer's recognizing this and writing about it. The process is simple, but there is no mention of it in the instructions. At the end (head and foot) of each of the two parts making up the platform there is a support bar. When the bed is set up, you simply turn this bar out and bolt it to the frame. It seems like a small thing, but when you see the platform set up, you will understand how it provides the additional stability to the entire assembly.

My son is 6'2" and between 255 and 265 lbs (he's a former offensive lineman). Thus far, the bed has been stable and he say's the set up is comfortable. I will come back and comment if we experience a problem in the future, but the platform seems very well made and, biggest of all, it solved our problem with respect to the need to replace a box spring.

Perfect for our spare room mattress lacking a box spring. Breaks down if needed in 2 separate smaller sections. Looks good!

I purchased this frame in March for a memory foam mattress. Within three months it completely fell apart. The metal ties connecting the frame broke and now is useless. It was good for about 1 month before metal straps started to pop and then the main frame. Amazon should not even advertise this product and I will be attempting to recover by money.
