Book Description

May 11, 2009
Job hunting is a complicated project, however most people seeking a change in jobs or entering the workforce do not deal with it as a project. Projects need planning, execution and control. Moreover to ensure a successful project, one needs to ensure that the project is addressing the correct needs and objectives. Whether the job hunting is for full-time employment, self-employment, starting a business, or working as a contractor, a pragmatic approach will help the job hunter achieve the goals desired.

Editorial Reviews

Review

After 30 years of working in Human Resources as a senior executive I knew that finding my next job would be a full-time job. Ayman Nassar's project management approach provided the structure to plan, organize, control and direct my search. By diligently applying the tools and techniques I leaned, I had both consulting opportunities and offers for full-time employment, all within 30 days time, in a down economy. Pragmatic Job hunting takes a structured approach in the job acquisition process. Project management is mostly common sense but under pressure we may lose focus of the end goal. I like this book as it utilizes project management concepts in improving the job acquisition process and make it more effective. I recommend this book to everyone whether they are in the process of acquiring a job or as a quick case study for project management concepts in general.
