Quite average,

Barely worth the cost.
The work is light and handy and has decent illustrations and is the only one available that I am aware of. That is about all that is easily stated about it for the good. Compared to works on Architecture of Copenhagen (reviewed by me previously), Rome, Florence and elsewhere, this work is quite inferior. A work on the Palaces of Prague has much more in the way of instructive text and wonderful color photography, though it is not of a size to easily carry on a trip and is not as comprehensive as to Church, commercial and governmental edifices. If there was a comparable work that could be kept in a pocket for the City of Prague that was available, one might best consider getting it rather than this one. As it is, one has, at least as of this time, little to chose from.

Book arrived as promised - but then, Amazon is always great for that. I'm happy w/ my choice and although this is NOT a travel guide per se, I am an architect interested in the background to great architecture. This book provides that and really excellent photography also.
