Book Description

February 15, 2007
In 1893 Oklahoma Territory, Chloe intends to stay only a short while with her brother Joe and his family at their ranch. However, she soon finds her herself embroiled in her brother's clumsy matchmaking efforts. She also catches the interest of a ghost named Fire Horse. All Max McKee wants is to buy a few horses from Joe. Yet he unwittingly becomes entangled in Joe's scheme to marry off the beautiful and wealthy Chloe, who just happens to be the owner of those horses. Max is a man with many secrets. He knows he should stay away from Chloe, but finds her quick mind and feisty attitude quite irresistible. When a series of fires has the local homesteaders spooked, Chloe and Max must work together to discover who is setting the fires and try not to get themselves killed in the process. // "A truly fascinating read with vivid characters and storyline. This review is from: Prairie Fire (Paperback)
PRAIRIE FIRE is a thrilling story of danger, jealousy, passion, and the mysterious workings of love. Chloe intends to make her own life but had not anticipated meeting Max. He is a man strong in nature and goes after things he wants -- and he wants Chloe. Together they form a formidable team. I found this an inspiring and entertaining book to read that I utterly liked.
