Radio station WLT (With Lettuce and Tomato) has been sold to a broadcasting conglomerate in Texas. The Friendly Neighbor station, home of "A Prairie Home Companion," and the owner of the theater, is passing from the scene--the wrecking ball is on the crane parked in the alley--and the show's regulars arrive for the broadcast in a state of suspension, hoping that somehow life will go on.
