The bok Prairie People is a good cloth dollmaking book for beginners and for those who want to make cloth dolls with a vintage or country look.

The book itself is great, up to a point! Most patterns are printed in the book, but 3 dolls had removable pattern sheets in the back. 3 had been torn out and 2 stuck back in the book. Naturally, the one I liked the most was not there! However, I bought the book "used". If I had known that the patterns were removable, I probably would not have taken that chance. I usually don't buy "pigs in a poke".

Wonderful book! Well written instructions with very good illustrations. Tells how to make the old fashioned cloth dolls, and even how to make the fabric look faded. If you are drawn to the dolls on the cover, you will love the book!

Love this book and the old timey patterns. The patterns are well designed. I have purchased a few of these books and have given them away as gifts.
