The reason I bought this book is because I'm writing a seminar to help local praise leaders and bands to improve their worship skills. I have several books on praise and worship and have attended several seminars but none compares like this one in practical concepts and examples. Where other books talk about Bible worship models and the theology of praise and worship, this book gets knee deep in the details of planning, running and managing a Worship Band. It includes practical concepts like how should guitars/keyboards voice their chords, how to build a music repertoire, modulations, how to get the singers to sing right, how to plan the practice to get the most out of it, etc.
In short, this book is nothing but practical concepts and examples of what it takes (musically) to manage a Praise Band... I LOVE IT

What a great resource manual for a worship team. I wish I had this book years ago when I started leading a team. Thanks for the helpful book that I have used and passed on to others.

This book has been very beneficial to me. As a self-learner in many areas, it helped strengthen my endeavors. Great for the entire music team.

Again, another misstated comment on the book's condition. Not much say, other than I'm not happy with the condition. I know it was sold as ---used, but very good. I believe I've learned a very hard lesson.

I found Doug and Tami's book a quick read, but a very resourceful book. The transposition charts alone will be a great help to worship leaders for transitions between tunes. Well done.

Author Praise & Worship Drumming: A Guide to Playing in Church

This book covers a lot of really good ideas. I reccomend it as a very helpful resource for Worship leaders, and worship team members.

This is a nice book for worship leaders of all levels. Perhaps there are things you already knew, but they serve as good reminders. I like the way the writers wrote it, it is easy to understand and fun to read. In this thin book there are different sections for different musicians (Worship Leader, guitarists, keyboardist, etc), it's a must-have in my collection of books about worship!

I never knew about all the elements that went into putting a great worship set together till I read this. Your sets will be sure to flow smoothly and have great impact.

Although we do not have musicians to back up our praise & worship team, this book has been instrumental in helping me be prepared and getting our team prepared for rehearsals.

This book has been a tremendous help for me as a new Worship Leader. It has helped me to be better prepared for rehearsals. Great read!
