5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you, Sizzla
Praise Jah, as this twenty-one year old exclaims on one of the best Reggae albums I've ever heard! The production, writing, and total delivery is a tough combination of well thought out lyrics and time well spent in a music studio. Sizzla has to be the best D.J. out at this time, the dancehall scene as well as the roots and culture is his and rightfully so. His...

not overwhelmingly great. It is still worth having because hits such as "Praise ye Jah" and "No other like Jah" are choice songs. However it is not Sizzla's most memorable work and not the best introductory buy. Of course Sizzla's hardcore fans will have no problems adding it to their collection.

His talent is so much appreciated and his work is classic. Sizzla gives the youth words of encouragment by giving us a positive sound to listen to. There are no mentionings of sexual prowess, race on race violence or laments of material longings. His music is for fans who enjoy thought provoking and truly intelligent music. "Give Thanks And Praise", "Praise Ye Jah",and "Homeless" are tracks delivering powerful messages to the youth, thank you Sizzla. Thank you very much! Hail Jah!

4.0 out of 5 stars A truly well thought out album by a tremendous artist, November 2, 1998
By A Customer

Ever since the release of the single Praise Ye Jah, you could not help but hunt down any and all Sizzla material. This album is very well put together and the conscious lyrics are a long overdue change from the unintelligent songs many artists are putting together. Sit back with your eyes closed and let Sizzla take you away.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best overall Sizzla album I have heard, April 24, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Praise Ye Jah (Audio CD)
This is surely an album worth purchasing for anyone into reggae or dancehall. Great songs such as Praise Ye Jah, No Other Like Jah, How Dem Flex, and Government. I'm in the process of getting all of sizzlas stuff because of how much I like this album. I gave it 4 stars only because I still like Buju Banton's "Til' Shiloh" more. Don't hesitate on this one. Click buy.

This album,(along with "Black Woman and Child")is to me the best work Sizzla has done to date.By now, no true fan would be without this album, however, for the new-comer it's definitely THE PLACE TO START.The rhythms are infectious, the lyrics positive and hard-hitting.BUY IT !!

5.0 out of 5 stars RAS TAFARI, July 12, 2003
This review is from: Praise Ye Jah (Audio CD)
Yow, this one was/is and always go be de sizzla everyone go talk bout for years to come, the tunes them is unplifting and lively, you can't help but to skank a lil.
Well here the bouncing riddim, Praise ye jah, Babylon Cowboy, Greedy Joe, How dem ah Flex, it have some pure tune to just sit down and bun it too, like Haile Selassie, Blackness, Dem ah wonder. I have had this cd since it come out, and is a shame to see 4 star poeple, come on, he deserves allot better than 4 stars, I out. Bless!

4.0 out of 5 stars A quite good CD, July 16, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Praise Ye Jah (Audio CD)
A quite CD but surely not as good as black and child. It would have been better if sizzla didn't use so much "digital" riddim ( a bad habit of modern reggae in my opinion ).
