Getting through storms,
By
This review is from: Praise You In This Storm (MP3 Download)
We played this at my 23 year old son's funeral. Getting one of those phone calls that no parent should get, we thought he just had the flu and then he was gone. This song is a testament to our relationship with the Lord. We know that He will bring us through this storm. Even though we don't know the whys, we will trust Him to bring us through. The Lord has shown me that I have to walk past my son to the Son of God and trust Him with all our hearts. I will see my son soon and the storms will be gone forever. Trust Him, He will bring you through.

Praise You in the Storm was written for my granddaughter, Erin. Mark Hall won an Dove award for this song. Mark gave my daughter, Laurie, an album with over 300 emails from people whose lives had been blessed by this song. Laurie was Erin's mother.

Praise lifts you above life's storms into LIGHT!,

So many people have been blessed by this amazing song it will go down in history as a classic. I've spoken with those who have lost spouses, children, and friends who find comfort in hearing its words, but the music is NOT the comfort. Its message is.
Believers have a hiding place. We learn very early in our walk that the most grievous walk we face, the harshest storm we endure, is no bigger than the God we serve. It is no worse than what our Savior suffered. It is when we PRAISE this KING of kings, and LORD of lords that we begin to realize HE is so much more awesome and greater than this tiny storm we are facing. As in flying we rise above the storm clouds: we see what is below. When we see things the way God sees them everything becomes clearer. He can see the storm's duration, its destination, its destruction, and the destruction it does NOT inflict on us. He promises that we are spared more than we can take. Trust HIM. Accidents happen, some were in place in the towers on 9/11, others were delayed and missed being there, other have missed flights to realize their lives were spared, still others have lost babies before they even knew their names or could touch their faces. Why can we "PRAISE YOU IN THIS STORM?" You, Yahweh are the GOD of the Storm. You Abba Father are in charge of it all. You were here before the storm providing, loving, and guiding. You carry me through this storm, and you remain after the storm to pick me up and draw me near to you. I can Praise you in whatever Storm I have because I am yours and YOU are mine. Jesus paid the price for me.

Messages the world needs to hear,

Casting Crowns songs carry a theme over and over again, which is don't get hung up on religion and religiousness but rather reach out to God and receive His endless mercy no matter where you are in life. Everyone...everyone who listen's to these song's is a sinner but what's great is that doesn't matter to God because He loves us no matter where we are. When you listen to these songs, concentrate on the words and use them to draw yourself closer to who you really are in His eyes. These songs will move you and some may even help change you.

One of my favorite Christian songs. Our church uses it sometimes as a prayer call. A great message for children of God.

God said He would meet us in the THICK darkness... this is sometimes hard to do! I love this song it seems like everytime I hear it I end up in tears. Maybe just me. I have a sign language choir that travls and would love to be able to use this in our production. The cymbal crashes towards the end make it difficult to do that in some churches (can never please everyone), but I think I can drop it down some and even shorten it some if I need to. GREAT SONG!!
