Then I started Pinpoint Praying. Along with using the Bible as my prayer guide, I started asking very specific and focused things of God. Instead of asking God to be with my wife, I asked him to make her holy, to protect her from the pull of materialism, to heal her of some specific wounds, to expand her ministry impact, to put truth in her heart and wisdom on her tongue. Instead of asking God to bless my marriage, I prayed that he would help us to love each other unconditionally, to model his love to the world, to willingly serve and yield to each other, and to know true intimacy. Hi, My name is Will Davis Jr.(Learn more at willdavisjr.com.) I was born in Austin January 6, 1962 (you can do the math). I have been a serious follower of Christ since 1978 and have been in Christian ministry since 1980.
I married the lovely Susie Gerrie on June 1, 1985 (Susie was 6 at the time. It was an arranged marriage). Susie and I have three awesome kids--Will 3, Emily and Sara.
Besides my faith and family, I'm passionate about . . . .
. . . my hometown of Austin. I love Austin's beauty, quirkiness and rich cultural diversity.
. . . . Austin Christian Fellowship. Susie and I helped start ACF in May of 1993. It's been our great joy to serve our city with such high-caliber Christian people.
. . . . prayer. I was blessed growing up to have some great mentors in prayer. I love prayer and I know it works. I've written four books on prayer and hope to write more.
. . . . mountains. I grew up hiking in the Colorado Rockies and I had my first real God encounter alone on a mountain at age 12. I'm a Texas kid, but some of my best memories are in the Rockies.

Pray Big for Your Marriage: The Power of Praying God's Promises for Your Relationship - I loved it. It was easy to read because it has humor and help and inspiration in it which makes this how to book really useful. Will Davis did a great job. I'm sending this book to my married children and will share it with close friends.

While I'm not completely finished reading the book yet, I've gotten more out of the first few pages of "Pray Big for Your Marriage," than I have from any other Christian marriage/devotion book. I would encourage people to read this even if they are in the dating and certainly the engagement stages, too. There are so many encouraging reminders about how to specifically pray through scripture for your relationship so it helps me avoid the "please bless [my spouse] today" prayer, which, although sincere, isn't specific or anything that is really drawing either of us closer to God's word. I ordered extra copies to give to friends and family!

This was a life-changing book for my husband and I. It really helps put life and marriage into a new perspective. We took all the pinpoint prayers and pray them daily!! I believe it has really blessed our marriage.
