This review is from: Prayer: The Art of Believing 1945 (Paperback)
I thought the book gives the reader a method of prayer that will really make a difference. It tell you how important it is to keep a positive view of the prayer subject, and to see the prayer as fullfilled while you are praying. I have read several of Neville's other books and they are all the best I've read in learning how to manifest the life you want. This one shows you how to pray that will really make a difference for you, and others.

Neville was teaching the Law of Attraction in the 40's and 50's. Yet he taught so much more...if you are ready to 'hear'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential reading, April 14, 2010
This review is from: Prayer: The Art of Believing 1945 (Paperback)
This was one of Neville's earliest books and he never presented the essence of his prime message more succinctly. A few years later, he had a mystical experience which caused him to emphasize another aspect of his teaching, but he always included references to these fundamentals both in his lectures and his subsequent books. In these 32 pages, you can find all you need in order to change any aspect of your own life, or that of another. Nowadays, there are scores of books etc., on the same subject, all with their particular approach. But without a fundamental understanding and application of the principles set forth here, success will probably prove elusive. Absolute required reading!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Insighful Reading!, November 21, 2010

This book is a treasure! I came from organized religion where we were taught prayer is something you say like a ritual. Here Neville actually helps you understand how things are done for a reason, and prayer is the most powerful tool in our physical dimension!

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, perfectly expressed little book, April 21, 2010
By
This review is from: Prayer: The Art of Believing 1945 (Paperback)
This is another wonderful little book by Neville, perfectly expressed, in the old-fashioned language of the times he was born into. Sometimes I have to read his sentences several times to fully comprehend them. He is extremely intelligent, deep and logical.

Seemingly all his books have the same important message: when you pray, believe that you already have what you pray for, and feel the feeling you would feel if it were reality. This information is based on the law of reversibility:"If your realized prayer produces in you a definite feeling ----, then, inversely, that particular feeling --- must produce your realized prayer."

The author explains how you can help another by imagining him how you want him to be, as long as the desired state is something he himself would want of another or himself.

Neville, like Joseph Murphy, Catherine Ponder, Joel Goldsmith and probably many others, thus believes it is desirable to help others in this way, while Abraham teaches, as far as I understand, but I may be mistaken, that you should focus on working on your own problems, as it is ultimately ourselves alone who can change our lives.

Neville concludes the book by exhorting us to assume the feeling "I AM Christ", whereafter our whole behaviour will subtly change in accordance therewith.

I strongly recommend this book and all Neville's other works to all those interested in learning how to pray effectively in this way.
