For those who like to pray "in choir" and for those who are no longer able to formulate or articulate the prayers and hymns that they have said and sung all their lives, this album is a true God-send. It offers the most beautiful Catholic prayers backed with some of the Church's most beautiful music (The Rosary, for example, backed by O Sanctissima, Immaculate Mary, and of course the Ave Maria). David Phillips has been able to capture the attitude of genuine love and piety in each prayer's vocal rendition (both male and female), so that the listener here experiences both peace and the presence of God (we know, after all, that they are one in the same). Perhaps this is why aside from myself, the people I know who have discovered "Prayer of the Church" say they have never heard anything like it; they are not content with one copy, but buy it for their children, their elderly relations, and for those who are prevented from partaking in public liturgical observences. In short, this is an album you can feel confident will please those who are drawn to prayer and filled with the love of God.

For this reviewer, who has a difficult time with meditation and repetative prayer, this CD has been both a BLESSING and a TREASURE!
Rich with the prayers of the Holy Rosary, accompanied by the Traditional songs of the Church, this CD is the best one out there, today!

After listening to it and praying with it, I puchased a second CD to keep in the car.

It is Highly recommended by this reviewer, and if it were possible, I would have given it TEN STARS!

This CD is one of the best when it comes to recordings done on recitation of the Holy Rosary! The music (both vocal and background) help lull you into that wonderful meditative state of prayer. The voices featured on the disk are pitch perfect for the recitation of the individual prayers (they alternate between a man/woman's voice!) and spoken at a good speed very articulately!

For the new Catholic, this disk might not be so helpful as it does not contain the written words of the spoken prayer (any Missal or Book of Prayer should contain them anyway!) but this should not deter you! Another great thing about this disk is that the prayers are done in the English language, a nice and welcomed switch from the usual disks recorded in Latin.

Overall, I whole-heartidly recommend this CD without any reservation!

The Rosary is very well produced. A powerful tool to crush the devils head!

This is a wonderful disc to listen to when you may want to pray with other people and you are alone. I am able to relish each word of prayer and my meditation. Although I listen to the rosary part before I go to bed at night, I find listening to the disc as I am carrying out my daily chores seem to make my chores easier. I set my alarm so I do not forget to listen and pray the angelus. This is a wonderful disc.

I have listened to this CD for the first time today, and found it so moving, I new to the Catholic faith I am being confirmed in 11 days time, I really wanted to learn the Rosary and found this CD was wonderful way to learn.

I love this CD! I put it in the CD player in my car the day it arrived and it is all I ever listen to. Very professionally produced. Excellent musical backgrounds for all the prayers. Just has the ten decades of the rosary, plus many beautiful prayers. I never get tired of listening to it.

Opening with a beautiful Ave Maria, I was hopeful about this cd. I have listened to many many rosary cds. Only 5 decades of the rosary are prayed without a mystery even briefly being announced.

A beautiful Marian hymn is sung after each decade and beautiful background music accompanies the saying of the "Hail Marys" and "Our Fathers". Angelic I might add, some of the best Ive heard.

After the 5 decades are prayed, other Marian hymns and prayers are sung. And yes they are beautiful. But is this the rosary? I think not.

It is soothing and beautiful but..... the "Prayer of the Church"??.....absolutely not.

Fr McGinnitys rosary (Medjugoria)is my very favorite. There is no music but you know youve prayed from the heart in this one. Good Luck trying to find it.

Clarity is very good and the music is soothing and uplifiting. Listen to the CD couple times a week.
