5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read on Prayer
We attended Christ Community for 3 years before moving back east, and I can tell you that Pastor Jim "walks the talk" when it comes to prayer. I learned more about prayer during services and Mens Breakfasts from Jim, and we grew spiritually more during our time there than at any point before.

Great read and insight - if you are looking to improve your prayer...

2.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great
This is a good book but definitely written more for men than women. It does have some great points but I found the writer seemed to be writing for men.

Pastor Nicodem does an excellent job of breaking down such a big issue, like prayer, and giving us something to grab hold of with our own hands. His practical ideas and accessible delivery make it a great resources for those who want to get into the praying field... I'd recommend this book to anyone

a few of us girls needed something to tide us over during the summer. we just finished Beth Moore's ESTHER. That was intense. This book is light but it has very good info so far. Each chapter ends with a page of questions to help spark our conversation. They use a lot of sports talk but if you can get past that the info is great!

4.0 out of 5 stars Shows how to become a praying believer, July 21, 2008
This review is from: Prayer Coach: For All Who Want to Get Off the Bench and onto the Praying Field (Hardcover)
Most Christians know it is important to pray but in fact, we spend a very small amount of time praying. This is practical "how to" manual full of ways to make prayer an integrated part of our daily lives. It is also encouraging to know there are people like Pastor Nicodem who actual live what they write. This is the is the best book on praying I have read. Read it and do it and you will be changed.

This is probably the BEST book I've ever read on prayer. With a market full of "why" to pray... it's about time we got a book on "how" to pray! This is in the "changed my life" section of my library.

This book is great for anyone who wants to, as the author says, "get on the playing field" of prayer. It is very inspirational, but at the same time filled with practical advice for making prayer a key part of every day. The book is worth the purchase price for the appendix that's filled with names of God and Scripture references that discuss each name--you can use this list to jump-start your time of worship and praise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prayer challenge., February 24, 2011
This review is from: Prayer Coach: For All Who Want to Get Off the Bench and onto the Praying Field (Hardcover)
As the executive assistant to Dr. Nicodem, I have the privilege of receiving comments from those who have read Prayer Coach and they have granted me permission to post their remarks on the Amazon review page. Here is what one group of guys wrote:

"Using Prayer Coach as a small group tool has challenged us on an often overlooked subject that has strengthened our relationship with the Lord".
