If meditation, or even centering prayer, is a frustrating experience either because you're not disciplined enough or you're too perfectionistic about it, this book offers an alternative. It's the most practical book about prayer that I've read and is immensely reassuring. Chapter Two, "The Prayer That Nurtures," is a short chapter worth the (already modest) price of the book alone.
