5.0 out of 5 stars A primer for integrating the Spiritual & the physical., August 20, 1999
This review is from: Prayers and Our Bodies (Perfect Paperback)
This is a book that gave me the extra push I needed in understanding that unconditional love includes loving your own body. It helps the reader to understand that we are in partnership with our bodies. They are our haven and sustainer not a prison.

The guided meditations are beautiful and the information is priceless. Even though it is christocentric I think this book would be helpful for people from all spiritual walks.

5.0 out of 5 stars New Way to Look At It, May 14, 2007
This review is from: Prayers and Our Bodies (Perfect Paperback)
Perhaps others have learned to appreciate the gift of their bodies more than I. The idea of during prayer thanking each part of my body for what it does for me - ex: for all the miles my feet have carried me - gave me a new and less judgmental appreciation for the gift of my body. These prayer forms were very opening for me and I recommend this book for anyone who wants to explore including their boides as well as hearts and minds in prayer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, September 7, 2008
This review is from: Prayers and Our Bodies (Perfect Paperback)
This is a provocative book on prayer and Wuellner discusses various approaches to prayer. It is a holistic perspective that examines the role our body plays in prayer. Although it is Christian based, the books major themes could be discussed by other faiths. It may be especially helpful to those beginning a spiritual journey and those who want to explore other options. Wuellner is easy to understand. There is a friendly/comforting approach to her style.
