A practical and loving prayer experience,
By cchristi@earthlink.net Christine Dax (Pacific Palisades ,CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Prayertimes with Mother Teresa (Paperback)
Mother Teresa calls us to reflect on the joy of loving and how we are to bring the love of Christ to the world. She emphasizes that love begins at home. We do not need to travel to foreign lands. We need to love until it hurts. She challenges us to lead a simple life focused on God and what is really important in life: sharing that love with others. She helps us to understand the distressed disguise of Christ in the poor and how they are a blessing to us. Love, love, love. She will inspire you to take on the simplest and greatest challenge you will ever have in your life: to love as Jesus did.

"Prayer times with Mother Teresa":
As I read and reflect my way through this very fine book, my thoughts go right back to Hogar de la Paz, the home of the Missionaries of Charity in Lima, Peru. For over 25 years I had the privilege of assisting the Sisters in their wonderful work in the poor barrios of Lima. Hogar de la Paz was founded by Mother Teresa in 1973 with the help of one of our Norbertine Priests, Father Richard Mulroy, O. Praem. |
