This, along with all her other books are among favorites-this too has earned a stay on my nightstand!
The devotions are very short-
Her others don't have dates so you never feel like you are behind-but I think this one is great with
1-dates on each entry to give us some accountability for DAILY time with God.
2-There is a short quote, or really your daily dose of godly wisdom from Beth :)
3-Then there are a few Scriptures, pertaining to the focus for that day, allowing Your mind and heart to be washed with the cleansing waters of God's Holy Word-
spoken aloud she gives us the Sword of the Spirit, and there is no greater power than God's Own Word used by a holy heart in prayer!
This is great for morning and evening reading-very short for those with only a few moments to spare with their other prayer and Bible Study!
I especially like these short devotions for evening, there is something about meditating Scriputure before I go to sleep that allows it to truly dwell deeply within! ANOTHER WINNER BY BETH-has she ever done anything else, NO!

I am new to Beth Moore and have been so encouraged and blessed by her writings. This little book has a short introductory reflection followed by a prayer each day and is all directly based on Scripture--it truly is praying God's word. I have it on my bedside table and start each day by praying and reflecting upon that day's prayer. On days when I am particularly frayed, I reread the prayer several times for a perspective and reality check. Also recommended: Ruth Myer's The Satisfied Heart as an evening devotion. With books like these, you'll find yourself drawn closer to God and knowing Him better and better because you are focusing on what He reveals of Himself through His word.

The book is well written, easy to read, and full of practical ways to overcome strongholds in our lives. Best of all, each day is based on a different Scripture from God's word. It doesn't take long to read each day's devotional but what you read sticks with you throughout the day. My wife and I often use it as the core of our evening devotional.

Beth Moore is such a gift from the Lord. I'm only 11 days into the devotion... and I can't wait to read tomorrow's prayer... she includes great scripture refrences and they really hit home!!

This is another way to draw from the knowledge Beth shares about the Word of God.
I have learned so much about the Word since I attended one of her Bible Study classes.
The book has that awesome personality of Beth's shining through,but mostly its a way to get into the Bible on a day to day basis.

This little devotional is a wonderful little book. It is dated of course by the day. So you can use it year after year. The mighty wisdom of Beth Moore is such in inspiration to keep you close to God. I admit some days I don't get my devotional in, but its easy to catch up on or pick up where the next day begins. Love it!!!!!!!

I cannot recommend this book enough if you (or a loved one) is strong on Bible study but struggles with personal prayer. Reading this after reading the Praying God's Word book will allow this devotional guide to deliver even more.

In fact just reading a page out loud before I start my study opens my heart and mind a bit more for what I'm going to learn that day.

Her ability to slight rephrase a verse to make it into a prayer is remarkable. And the changes from "he" "she" "you" to "I" suddenly bring the verse alive and real for my life.

Beth is a reliable reference when it comes to the Word of God. I enjoy reading when I don't have to "test" every paragraph to see if it's truth or conjecture.

This book may be a little heady for a new Christian. I have been hesitant to pass this on to my younger Christians ladies, but I have sure shared the personal quotes that Beth has on the top of each page!!! Breaking Free devotional book seems to be a better fit for some of these gals.

Excellent! Insightful and meaty. Looking forward to using this as my devotional book for 2007.

I was in a really deep depression and God used this to encourage me and to help me soak in God's truth. I wrote a stack of the prayers on 3 x 5 cards and carried them around with me. Whenever I had time, waiting or getting up in the morning or before bed, I would pray through the stack of cards. I keep rereading the book, identifying new scripture. I am so grateful how God brought this book into my life through a series of circumstances that started several years ago. I went to a ministry and a copy was sitting there that someone had sent several yrs ago. I picked it up and it was used mightly by God in my heart. I have bought 5 of Beth Moores books - devotional and the regular Pray the Word and given them away to friends.

Beth Moore's inspirational words and accompanying scripture "raise me up" on a daily basis. I don't know how she does it, but her writings always seem to hit me where I live. Excellent daily devotinal!
