This is an illuminating book about the Christian Rosary that will appeal to those new to this way of prayer as well as others. Pennington gives a concise history of prayer beads, then explains the prayers of the rosary in form as well as substance. It remains my favorite book on the subject. I have referred to it many times in teachings on prayer.
