David A. deSilva is Associate Professor of New Testament and Greek at Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland, OH. He has written over 100 articles and reviews and numerous books. In addition to his academic pursuits, he has been very active in music ministries throughout his life and is currently director of choirs at First United Methodist Church, Ashland, OH.

More About the Author
David deSilva majored in English at Princeton University (AB, 1987), received a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary (1990), and completed a doctorate in New Testament studies at Emory University (1995). He has taught on the faculty of Ashland Theological Seminary since 1995. David is also ordained in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has served as an organist and choir director in Episcopal, Lutheran, and United Methodist churches since 1985. He is married to Donna Jean Heitman deSilva, with whom he shares three sons.

This is a great way to introduce people to some of Wesley's methodical approaches to centering ones week around Christ. It gives daily prayers and questions to help spurn one closer to Christ through reflection, reading, and prayer. There is a theme for each day of the week. Overall great tool for a Discipleship group.
