This precious prayer book is of the caliber of beauty of the Cistine Chapel! Page after page of beauty within words. Prayers to help, prayers to heal, prayers to hearten one to hope, all catalogued in great detail on the title page for easy reference. This prayer book, though it looks delicate, penetrates through to the core. Its power resides in the strength of the beautiful prayers and how they are explained by the author. She draws the reader in and suddenly the reader is praying the prayers...while reading the book! The greatness of this book is its overwhealmingly powerful prayers and how they are presented. This book will be a treasure generation after generation.

I find this book to be a great book to keep by my bed when I am troubled. I found a copy of it in my father's belongings when he was dying. Now I read it when I have troubles in my marriage, with my children or at work. I find the tone of the book very soothing.

This is a wonderful book to have on hand in times of stress or sorrow. It is very comforting. It is a book one will turn to time and time again.

I really like books written by Janice Connell. She has such a way of writing about the Blessed Virgin. This book is a lovely book to keep at home. You can read the entire book at once, or keep it to refer to at different times in you life. I was very touched by many of the prayers. I also liked reading the prayers of those in old times. It is a special book for any Catholic, or anyone who prays to Our Lady.

This little book, Praying With Mary is a valuable resourse for those moments when we need to know we are not alone in our dreams, difficulties or triumphs. The stories and prayers in this small book are filled with wisdom, joy and light.

I would like to recommend this prayer book for those whom are Catholic and non-Catholic. I first discovered this book in a Catholic bookstore after a group in my church propheside I would find a book that would deliver me from my then current trials. I went to a "healing mass" and afterwards the prayer team called people up to lay hands on them. I was afraid but went up because I was depressed, lonely and everything seemed to fall apart. The group prayed in tongues and after a lady I didn't know said she sensed I would find a book, not the bible that would bring me peace. A week later, I found "Praying with Mary". I read prayers every other day especially the "30 day Novena." I have given 6 copies to family and coworkers because Our Lady is a blessing to all. Through the 30 day Novena, she has helped me get into veterinary school, and saved my home. Thanks be to God.
