This was my son's school textbook, but when he didn't have a math teacher for a year, I bought it to use over the summer. It is much better than Algebra for Dummies and books like that. Even if you're good at math, it helps to read their approach to teaching the subject. It's in color, has lots of problems, about half with answers, and extras like how to do things in excel! I'm keeping it for myself now that my son has moved on and I'm very happy our school system is using this series of math books.

This was the same book that son was using in public school so it was a big help to have a copy at home. The school was not allowing the students to take the book home.
