5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic book!, December 2, 2004
This review is from: Pre-Raphaelitism in the Nineteenth-Century Press: A Bibliography (E L S Monograph Series) (Paperback)
Tobin provides an fresh take on Romans from a rhetorical-critical perspective. He mainly engages with primary texts and sources. It is also one of the few books which avoids the "Lutheran lense." Probably, the most praiseworthy aspect is the fact that he treats Romans as a whole, and does not simply ignore or relegate chapters 12-16 into the role of an appendix.
