I thought he was great at football!,
By Hank (Oklahoma) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire 27 x 40 Movie Poster - Style B (Kitchen)
My wife said there was a great new movie about an African American youth that we had to see. I went into this expecting some great football action (after some adversity) but this was all adversity! I thought "Precious" was just the name his dad gave him to motivate him to hate his enemies on the field, but no one called him anything else. I thought that all the things he went through would make him a success on the field, but he just gave up and had babies. It was like that she male thing on Oprah that got pregnant!
Talk about false advertising. He's got the size and the skill, he's going to a special school where they hone talent like his. I thought I'd hear some new Tim McGraw songs about believing in yourself and honky tonks after the big game. Was I wrong. It was all rap and filth. If I was this kid's coach, I'd tell him to stop hanging out at home eating so much and start hitting the weight room. |
