I had a question about size, as well. I purchased this hat for my 5 month old son hoping it would fit. The hat is large, but I am hoping once it is washed and dryed it will fit. It is 100% cotton, so I suspect it will shrink. The chin strap is quite a bit too long, however.

i ordered this hat for my 6 month old grandson, and its great! alittle big on his head now, and the strap is a bit too big like other reviewers noted, but i dont think thats a big deal, as the hat will stay on without the strap being snug, and it keeps to sun off his face perfectly!

The bucket hat is nice and soft. It has a jersey lining on the inside which makes it extra comfortable for a baby.

I just wish it was more size specific (instead of just "infant").

I love this hat and bought it in white and pink for my daughter. You can't beat the price!! I'm glad I read the other reviews first because my daughter is 6 months old and I was looking for a bucket hat for the beach that would fit her. At first, I almost bypassed this hat because it said "Infant" but I'm glad I didn't. My daughter is 6 months old -- 75th percentile for height, 50th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for head circumference and this hat is just a little bit big on her. So, if you are looking for a hat for your newborn, this will probably not work for you. But for a 4-8 month old (depending on size) it is perfect!! It can be folded up, stuffed into a diaper bag and still come out looking nice!

took a bit for it to ship but it came and im happy. now i just wish my baby would keep it on her head. there is an under the chin strap but its longer soo she can still take the hat off.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I received this hat. I feel it is of great quality - well made, jersey lined. Soft and seems like it would be comfortable for a baby to wear. And at a price that you can't beat! My 7-month-old has worn it a few times and seems to have no problems with it.

My 11 month old son doesn't like to wear hats,and this one is easy for him to pull off because the chin strap is too long and there's no way to adjust it. Other than that, it's a nice hat.

Don't buy it here. You can get better stuff with better material at Walmart or Target for about the same price. But it was cheap so I decided to keep it as it was not worth the effort of returning.

After searching every store in my area for the Carter's Navy Crab infant bucket hat, and not having any luck. I bought two Precious Cargo bucket hats (red and navy), even though i was very worried about the sizing. I wanted them to match my 6 month old's Carter's Crabby but Cute swim suit. I just got them yesterday and they are just what I wanted. I could not be happier. They look adorable with his swim suit or just any outfit for that matter. The hats are a little big, but I wanted them that way. If they fit perfect he would have grown out of them within a week. Then what would i have to cover his head from the sun the rest of the summer? I am very happy with this purchase!!

I was looking for a hat that was 100% cotton, and this one is of good quality. However, I've had the hat since my daughter was 3 months old--now she is 6 months, and the hat is still too big! It always slips down over her eyes, so I have to constantly re-adjust it and spin it around so the strap isn't in her face either. She has a normal sized head (60th percentile), but the lack of sizing information has made this hat useless so far. Even when she gets bigger I doubt I'll use it, because the brim is not wide enough for the coverage I want (there is maybe 1.5" of brim). Oh well, at least I only wasted $6.
