Product Description

A short story from the novel-in-progress Age of the Censor.

Ansel wants to get away before anyone is chasing him, and to do that he needs to deal with his girlfriend, state-of-the-art surveillance technology, and a subset of society that hates him because of his elevated social status. He's running because he found something buried on the net that reveals a lie so big that no consumer is safe from its grasp. A lie that proves the corporations can put a spin on anything or make information disappear into obscurity and the public will never know otherwise. Ansel is willing to do anything it takes to get away and it's going to take all his creativity and intelligence to do so.

John C Ricker is an author living in Minneapolis with his wife Erika Hammerschmidt. He has co-authored a science fiction novel with her and is now starting to work on the largest project he's ever attempted. A novel of his own. This short story is a stand-alone chapter from that novel and themes that run through this short story will be greatly expanded upon in the larger work. There will be more stand-alone chapters like this one, and one of them will be a continuation of this story.

It took eight years of speculation and research for John to create the world for this story and the novel that it is part of. It all came together for him this year when recent events encouraged him that his speculations might not be that far off.

John has been giving public speeches about growing up with Asperger's for over five years and he also dabbles in photography, abstract line-drawings, and digital art.

Note: This story is also available online at www.yayinabox.com, but Amazon is the only source for this story in Kindle format.
