5.0 out of 5 stars Great rechargables for high end camera flash units
These babies just run and run. Recharge my Canon flash unit noticably faster than 2500's.

1.0 out of 5 stars Huge Ripoff - NOT 2900mAh!
I tested these batteries in my LaCrosse battery charger which has a refresh cycle for rejuvenating new or very old batteries and a test feature for getting the actual mAh rating for a battery. After a couple days of cycling to insure I would get the highest rating, the charger told me that these 4 batteries are rated as follows (in mAh): 1577, 1510, 1486 and 1525. WAY...

WAY BELOW THE MANUFACTURER'S RATING!

Just to make sure the charger was not at fault I dug out some 2-year old rechargeables I had lying in a drawer and put them through the same test. Three of the four batteries came within 96% of their advertised rating. The other came in at 85%. These "new" Precision batteries come in at 51% to 54% of their advertised rating. In fact, their actual rating is lower than any AA rechargeable battery sold on Amazon. In other words, you can't find AA batteries advertised at 1600 mAh or even 1700-1900 mAh! They don't make them so it is not like these batteries are incorrectly labeled. Instead it means they have been poorly made.

So, what all this means is if you buy these batteries for a device that requires a lot of juice like a digital camera, you will be very disappointed in its usage time before you have to charge them again. You would be better off buying another rechargeable battery... ANY other battery.
