5.0 out of 5 stars Split Beam Torque Wrench, July 22, 2007

An excellent product. Torque settings are easily dialed via a thumb screw adjustable scale. The ratcheting

3/8 drive flex head is another useful feature. I found this torque wrench to be substantially lighter and

easier to use than comparable micrometer adjustable types. The added plus is that one does not have to return

the torque setting to zero after the wrench is used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Torque wrench, November 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Precision Instruments (PREC2FR100F) 3/8" Dr. Split Beam Click Type Torque Wrench with Flex Head - 20 to 100 Lb. Ft. (Misc.)
I am a full time mechanic, and have used other brand torque wrenches, this one fits the bill. Best part is yoy don't have to set dial back to zero and it makes a loud click at spec. torque. 2 ft. lbs. between settings is as close as you need to be. and it is made by the same company that makes snap on torque wrenches.

4.0 out of 5 stars Needed a rebuild kit after 2 years of use, September 9, 2011
This review is from: Precision Instruments (PREC2FR100F) 3/8" Dr. Split Beam Click Type Torque Wrench with Flex Head - 20 to 100 Lb. Ft. (Misc.)
I use this thing every day and it finally gave out on me. I ended up stripping the ratchet mechanism in roughly 2 years. Not really happy about that. Unfortunately, I can't find the rebuild kit anywhere but from the manufacturer so that sucks. The other thing that annoys me is it lacks a reverse, so I'm probably going to ditch this torque wrench and buy a nice electronic torque wrench with a reverse. I do like the narrow head as it does help get into some tight spots. One recommendation would be to put some thread lock on the 2 allen/hex head screws on the ratchet head.
