I have a 15 pound dachshund that fits perfectly in this cage. I put 2 blankets in the cage and the dog goes inbetween the blankets during the daytime when I am at work. I use Jerky Treats incourage the dog to enter the cage so it's not used as a punishment but rather a safety issue. I dog can stand and turn around so it does not feel too cramped. The front door lifts up and to the side to open it and is easy to close. Before, the dog would get out of it's area during the day and chew things up but now the dog stays in the cage and is safe.
