4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Cart, but..
I purchased this cart because I wanted to lug some top soil down a path to my lake cottage and this looked like the perfect ergonomic solution - to push down, not life up, like a traditional wheelbarrow. I am an older female and can use all the mechanical advantage I can get.

The box came to the house with holes all through it. The only closures were plastic straps that do NOTHING to keep all the merchandise in the box. When the box was opened, or should I say when the straps were cut and the contents FELL out of the box, since there is nothing holding the box together but the lame plastic straps, half the parts were missing. I purchased this cart because I wanted to lug some top soil down a path to my lake cottage and this looked like the perfect ergonomic solution - to push down, not life up, like a traditional wheelbarrow. I am an older female and can use all the mechanical advantage I can get.
The cart arrived in horrible condition - wet, loosely taped box not sealed well at all. The cart was covered in grease (certainly did not look new), there was no hardware, no packing slip, no instructions...I was very dismayed - I did not even know if all the parts were there, how to put it together or what to buy for hardware. I asked a millwright friend if he could take a look at it and by some miracle put it together - I did not want to take it to the dump if it could be saved. My friend did manage to put the thing together but had to manufacture some brackets to hold the rusty axle onto the cart and rig some washers for the wheels. So now I had a usable cart, but I should have never had to jump through these hoops. In the meantime, I did write a complaint to Amazon regarding the condition of the cart and how unhappy I was.
I would like to offer that Amazon "did the right thing" and offered me 3 options to "make it right"...1) A 30% discount on the item. 2)A replacement order at no additional charge. 3)A refund. I opted for the 30% discount since the cart was salvaged (I am a fair individual). I also received an email that my credit card had been credited.
Not a great experience with the product but AMAZON CAME THROUGH and I would be delighted to continue to do business with them - I have been a strong customer since they started and would have hated to stop being a customer.
The cart, by the way is a nice cart - does the job I expected with ease. The larger size wheels are a plus in rolling over rough terrain. I would buy this cart again, but hopefully in better shape next time.

It is miserable trying to actually get through to the company since you have to call long distance and can never get through. Good thing for me my dad had parts so I could actually get to use the cart.

It is my fault that I did not read the reviews as I normally do or would have NEVER purchased an item from this company. They are VERY cheap with the way they ship the products. The product looks really really good on the screen, but in reality the company takes absolutely NO pride in the way they ship their products. This will be the LAST thing I ever buy from this company. Amazon should take them off the site as sellers since they are SO pathetic.

Product came with box in poor condition. When opened, found that metal legs were missing. Called mfg. who quickly shipped out the legs. A bit of a hassel with a good outcome.

Cart is really handy too use.

5.0 out of 5 stars What I needed, after customizing, May 13, 2010

In spite of the complaints in some preceding reviews, I ordered this from Amazon. I placed the order on a Sunday; Precision Products shipped it (via UPS) on Monday; UPS delivered it on Friday. The box was intact, which I attribute to UPS' careful handling, since for the weight it COULD have used a retaining strap.

All the small parts were in one sealed bag, and all accounted for. It took me about an hour to do the assembly. Don't tighten the bolts completely until you have them all in place, leaving some wiggle room. After assembly you might want to saw off the protruding bolt ends.

My house is surrounded by natural terrain, which is too rough for the typically small garden cart wheels. 20" diameter is about right for me. My specific need is to cart topsoil UPHILL. I found with the short-handeled carts that they would run over my feet as I backed uphill; this cart has a comfortably LONG handle keeping one out of the way of its body. The only shortcoming for my purpose is that at rest this cart is considerably inclined forward (opposite the handle). This design makes dumping easy on level ground, but on an uphill incline the legs don't provide enough traction to keep the cart from rolling back down. So, using 1" steel pipe with the existing bolts, I extended the legs so the cart now rests with its bin level, and doesn't roll downhill. Customizing never hurts.

This is a solid product, with fast delivery.

When I received this product, there was no tape on the carton whatsoever! It was held closed by only 2 thin plastic straps and it rattled loudly. I wondered what kind of a mess I had gotten into! But it was fairly easy to assemble and only 1 part was missing. I called Precision's Customer Service, and the part arrived shortly.
The cart is wonderful! It's 15.2" long, 15" deep and 24" wide and fits through my small door to the garden. I'm a Senior Citizen and use it to move firewood, which it does beautifully! Would have given 5 rating, but for the missing part.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy with My Garden Cart, June 15, 2009
This review is from: Precision Products LC200SP 6-Cubic-Foot Single-Pack Garden Yard Cart (Lawn & Patio)
I purchased this chart several months ago and have used it every weekend while gardening in my yard. I have used it to haul potting soil, flowers, big and small, to landscaping bricks. It is a very sturdy cart and can hold a great deal. I love the chart and would recommend it to anyone looking for a gardening chart that will make gardening chores less stressful on the back.

This is an excellent yard cart. Just as described. Highly recommended. Having said that, there is more. I do not recall ever receiving anything so poorly packaged. The box was broken open in three places. Others have commented on this as well. Only by luck were all the pieces (except 5 bolt caps) present. I do not blame the carrier for this; it is a relatively heavy item in a woefully inadequate box. Be prepared to check over it well if you order. The company ought to be ashamed of this! By the way, it goes together fairly easily although one might set aside an hour and assemble it out of earshot of young children.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Cart, June 8, 2011
This review is from: Precision Products LC200SP 6-Cubic-Foot Single-Pack Garden Yard Cart (Lawn & Patio)
Shipped as promised. I received the unit one week after ordering.

The shipping box was badly mangled.

All small pats were in the little bag except the five plastic nut covers were not.

The factory's statement for the three tools needed to assemble is wildly optomistic.

I used a rat tail file to remove a burr from one of the holes inside one of the legs

I used a fine mill file to chamfer both ends of the handle tube.

Even after the filing, I had to lubricate the handle ends in order to get the insertion completed into the
two legs. The heavy paint on all parts also contributed to a difficult fit.

I needed a tapered punch to get the holes lined up in order to insert the bolts. I am sceptical that the
1/4 x 20 nuts are going to stay on the bolts since no lockwashers were included. I suggest use of
lock-tite or substitution of sems nuts.

A fine cart when finally assembled.

Finally I had to drill a new hole in the tub for the handle brace bolt because the factory's hole was way off.

Lastly, with a hack saw I had to trim both axle spacers.

Fiinally assembled, three hours later, it is a fine cart.
