About the Author
James A. Frank, the editor of GOLF Magazine since 1990, has become one of the foremost writers on golf instruction, especially regarding short-game skills.
Frank recently co-authored GOLF Magazine's Complete Book of Golf Instruction, for which he wrote the chapters on sand play, short game, and putting. He wrote the successful books The Golfer's Companion and Golf Secrets and co-authored several other books. He also authored a weekly series of golf tips for Gannett News Service for three years.
Frank lives just outside New York City. When he is not working or with his family, odds are great that Frank is inside 100 yards of the green.

Fair illustrations, fair discussion of the basics, good practice tips and techniques. If I drop my handicap by 2 strokes this year, its a great book.
