The Precision 209 drill bit is a long-length, black oxide-coated, Morse taper shank drill bit. It can drill to a depth up to four times the diameter of the drill size. The longer length offers more flexibility in thicker materials or hard-to-reach locations.
The 209 series has a type N flute form, with a regular helix angle (21 to 34 degrees) and a conventional point design that is the most commonly accepted standard for drilling holes in a variety of materials, such as metal, wood, and synthetics, with best performance in steel and cast iron. Black oxide improves lubricity, resists corrosion, and will not chip or flake off.
