5.0 out of 5 stars Work!
These compasses work and arrived just as pictured on this page. They have a rotating and lockable bezel ring. They point consistently when compared to a Cammenga compass. They do clip on, but aren't quite wide enough to fit entirely over a Luminox "Navy Seals" nylon band. The original compass that came with that watch finally failed. But I "made" the new one fit so...

3.0 out of 5 stars Which Way Do We Go?
It's cute! It works! The prong end may be a problem. I inserted it facing my hand and it left marks on my skin until they turned red. I adjusted the watch strap but it came too loose. I inserted it facing my arm and there's less mark and no redness. I give it a, "It's ok." Maybe I need to lose weight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Work!, November 14, 2010

These compasses work and arrived just as pictured on this page. They have a rotating and lockable bezel ring. They point consistently when compared to a Cammenga compass. They do clip on, but aren't quite wide enough to fit entirely over a Luminox "Navy Seals" nylon band. The original compass that came with that watch finally failed. But I "made" the new one fit so that it won't come off. ("Improvise, adapt, overcome.")

This compass is more expense than others pictured as identical on Amazon. Unfortunately, I also bought the package of six shown on another page and priced about $7.95 for those six, which looked, by the picture, to be the same. I figured I could get more for less. What I got was less for more. They are not identical to the compass pictured on this page, and they do not work, do not point, are stuck in position, and are junk.

If you're looking for an inexpensive but useful watchband compass, buy the item pictured on this page.

Sincerely,
A retired Marine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Compass, but not installed on Watch, February 23, 2011

The compass works fine, except when installed on a watch. The steel buckle on my Casio watch interferes with the compass and the compass does not point in the correct direction. Basically, you can clip this onto something, but if there's metal near the compass, it will not accurately point north. Hope that helps someone who is looking to buy this and install on a watch.

Also, this will fit on a 20 mm watch band, anything larger and it will not fit properly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Hiking and Running, May 28, 2010

This little compass clips perfectly to a runners watch band or Road I.D. band. Great for hiking and running. Gives direction on the move with just a little practice for a steady, level wrist.

5.0 out of 5 stars good adition to watches, April 15, 2010

Its a good addition to a watch if your watch doesn't already have one built in. Its a little bulkier than i though it would be but you never notice its on until you look at it or bump it on something. its accurate all the time, even under minor radio/magnetic frequencies. Whats also cool about it is it has a degree dial which is good for big game fishing which is mostly the reason I bought it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not suited for REAL outdoorsmen, October 7, 2011

Don't get me wrong the compass was good as far as being a good compass. It just is not suited for anyone that really goes in the woods, hunting, etc. The clip will not hold the compass on firmly and is easily lost. Such is what happened to me. So if you are buying one of these or own one I recommend you carry it in your pocket.

Indeed, you get what you pay for. The bezel on this compass fell off within a couple days of light use (and really, why does a compass this small even *have* a bezel?). It doesn't fit the band of my G-Shock watch very well at all, but then again that watch band is pretty thick. Overall, not really happy with this despite the cheap price paid.

Works well, and is accurate. I would of given it five stars but the clip on part is a little narrow for the watch band I have (canvas style) so I either have to change the band, or find a bracelet that it will fit on. Accuracy is king in the compass world, and this little guy is dead on. Love the rotating bezel too.

Bought 1 ordered another one.I super glued clip if strap was to wide you cold add a small piece on open end and super glue it to sides.Say the band is a wide thick rubber band. You can also scrape or lightly file opening.I would buy even if i didn't use on a band. And keep it in vehicle or jacket, also a good backup.Hey if you are guessing on a road and go a few miles in wrong direction and then a few back, this would save you that gas & time.Truck,mc,RV..I should get a royalty, but have made some wrong turns and gas is way to high! so get 2 and more for family.PS i saw a write up that the 5 or 10 pack not the same, you can ask, contact seller/s.Also remember to go thru adam corolla's (love line, etc) free pod cast (acebroadcasting) and hit amazon they get supported on each deal (& cost you nada cent)

Handy little gadget to put on your watchband. By no means a precise navigational instrument, for the price, this little compass will point you in the general direction of magnetic north. The function of the compass pointer is hindered a bit by a little bubble that formed on the dampening fluide.
