The BEST How-To out there on pre-conception,
By
This review is from: Preconception Plain & Simple (Paperback)
This book is MUST read for any woman planning to have a baby. It is really the only book of its kind that includes both the medical and the mystical. Written with care, love, intelligence and lots and lots of women's wisdom - this book is full of interesting facts about preconception and definitely laymen friendly. It is easily conveyed that these two authors love babies!

I read this book from cover to cover and couldn't put it down. It was an easy read and gave great advice about how to relax and enjoy the preparation of conceiving a child. This is a great book for women who are thinking about having a child, and want to get their bodies ready for it!

This review is from: Preconception Plain & Simple (Paperback)
This book isn't just for the first time you try to conceive, it's for anyone that wants to get pregnant regardless of past experiences. I was blessed enough to already have a beautiful and healthy little girl when my husband and I started thinking about having another. After suffering through some setbacks, we were frustrated and disappointed. After reading this book, it gave us renewed hope and helped us enjoy the process once again. We were relaxed and positive...and then we were pregnant! Preconeption Plain and Simple is imformative, factual and fun. This is a must have for anyone planning on having a baby whether it's your first, second or more!

Preconception Plain and Simple,

This review is from: Preconception Plain & Simple (Paperback)
I found Preconception Plain and Simple very funny and very intelligent!! It is so refreshing to read about how exciting the process of baby making can be, and it doesn't have to be a time filled with stress and anxiety. I especially loved the red flag parts for men, not overwhelming for them - but definitely funny enough to grab their attention. A girl-friendly read!

A refreshing perspective!,
This review is from: Preconception Plain & Simple (Paperback)
I picked up a copy of Preconception Plain and Simple for future reference. What I found was a pleasant surprise! Finally a book that didn't scare me with infertility statistics-- it's filled with great anecdotes and is a fun, informative read. I both laughed out loud and felt completely armed with new knowledge.

Tips, tricks and time-tested wisdom pack this handy guide,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Preconception Plain & Simple (Paperback)
Preconception Plain & Simple is a romantic and enticing guide to preparing for pregnancy. Chapters address medical issues that need to be addressed, such as a preconception examination, genetic counseling, and brief primer on one's hormones and their side effects; then they sojourn smoothly into advice for stimulating arousing and loving procreation, including discussion of fertility symbols, dance, rituals, blessings, sex itself, and moon or menstrual magic. Tips, tricks and time-tested wisdom pack this handy guide that is to be commended for directly addressing questions and issues that need to be addressed prior to conception, when most parenting books dwell primarily on pregnancy and birth.

I received this book as a wedding gift and could not put it down throughout my whole honeymoon! I read it from start to finish, as it was very informative, while also being fun and lighthearted. I also love the fact that it was written by a mother and daughter team. Very cool. I feel armed with important information as my husband and I prepare for the next chapter in our lives - parenthood!

I didn't find this book entertaining at all, rather a little corny and I wouldn't recommend it to my friends.

Despite being written in a high school girl's language, the book contains some useful information like the tear-out checklist to bring to your doctor. The author's commentaries that are sprinkled in with the useful info are unbearably annoying. You will see many question/exclamation point combinations and a very large font.
