Product Description

Only Precor IGR's molecules move to the places pre-adult fleas live, like the base of carpet fibers and between furniture cushions - in short, the sources of a flea infestation. Precor IGR targets fleas in the egg and larval stages of development. As a result, pre-adult fleas cannot produce new infestations of breeding, biting adults. PREVENTS ADULT FLEA EMERGENCE FOR 7 MONTHS. For control of active flea infestations, this product works best when combined with an adulticide such as Suspend SC or Demize E.C. which will help to provide quick knockdown of adult fleas. Precor® IGR acts on the immature stages of a flea's life cycle. Flea eggs deposited on or flea larvae crawling onto treated surfaces will not develop into adult fleas. Existing adult fleas and flea pupae are not affected and thus, Precor® IGR Concentrate is generally used in conjunction with an approved insecticide labeled for adult fleas. Effective, long-lasting indoor control of pre-adult fleas - up to seven full months. Mix with water to make 1 gallon of finished product. 1 oz. To prevent infestations before they start, apply PRECOR prior to flea season. When applied to surfaces where fleas are found, such as carpets, upholstered furniture, and pet sleeping areas, PRECOR prevents adult flea emergence for up to 7 months. Controlling fleas on pets is important to prevent introduction of adult fleas indoors. If fleas are a problem on pets, treat the pets with an effective EPA registered flea control product. PLEASE READ LABEL BEFORE USE!!

Had a flea infestation and as "part" of the remedy, I got the Precor. I had known of the ingredient quite a while, however this is the first time I had found it without other stuff--insecticides. This is an IGR (insect growth regulator). It interferes with their ability to form chitin in their exoskeleton. It does not kill--but very effectively disrupts their life-cycle. That's why it is only a part of the remedy. But an essential part of an effective program. A lot of household flea sprays have an IGR in them already.

You mix with 1 gallon of water and spray it all over the house. It is not toxic to mammals. In fact, I've heard that it is used in some parts of Africa in drinking wells as a way to fight malaria mosquitoes. Emphasis on "I've heard"... don't go drinking the stuff! However, here is a tip. Get a gallon of distilled water and add this to it. Distilled water won't leave mineral spots and the jug provides a measured amount of water and a convenient mixing/storage container with a lid. It really is a good way to do it. Spray it everywhere your pets hang out. Its effective for 7 months. So if your dog brings in freeloading fleas and they lay eggs, the eggs won't hatch. It doesn't kill the flea, but they can't reproduce either. I'm going to use it again next season.

It does what it should, breaking the insects life cycle. I ordered this after realizing that insect killers alone won't solve the problem, for very long anyway. One week after spraying with precor, the flea population is in serious decline. The adult fleas are being vacuumed up, and no new adults are being produced. If you have a flea infestation, do yourself a favor and get some of this stuff.

This works better than what I've previously tried.
Ortho-2 weeks no change, kept coming.
Spectracide-2 weeks no change, kept coming.
Flea bombs-killed them all, then eggs hatched, kept coming.
Flea traps--caught maybe 40 or so in soapy water, kept coming.
Vacuum-works great, but then more hatch and KEEP COMING!
Advantage II for the (inside) cat-Fleas now come to me, instead of the cat.

Precor-they are coming less and less ever day.

The shipping was the fastest I've ever seen. Ordered on Saturday morning, arrived on Monday noon from four states away!

UPDATE-
1.5 weeks after using precor concentrate, my flea infestation was completely gone. Into about the fourth week now and still no bites!

Had an ongoing flea infestation all summer. Thought I had won the war in July, but it was just that battle, since they came back again with a vengeance in mid-September. For this battle, I bought a bottle of this Precor and sprayed it around the house. Not only did I win that battle, I won the (indoors) war -- a lot of relief was felt immediately, and within 1 week, it was all over (inside the house). I even got lazy and haven't vacuumed since spraying the Precor (it's been 6 weeks), and all is still quiet on the western front.

BTW, I recommend using Pyriproxyfen for the outdoors. That was a key player in winning the battle for the outdoors. I'm still waging war outdoors (pupae aren't affected, and the surviving ones are all hatching now), but I have high hopes for winning that war as well.

This stuff really works. We have 2 dogs in the house and the inevitable happened. The fleas started jumping off them and setting up household in every room they went in. We sprayed and the fleas were gone quickly and they did not come back. Very please we bought and used the product. The packaging and delivery time was excellent. Will buy again if we need to.

I sprayed the product as directed....on every piece of upholstery and by baseboards and doorways and now my dog has been flea free for about two weeks. I also treated the yard with Talstar Pro to kill the adult fleas and use Advantix.

I had a major ifestation where spraying "home-center" sprays and Advantix applications seemed to make no difference. I believe that this three-prong approach is the key.

The product itself worked great. My issue is that no directions were sent with it. When I contacted seller they told me how to prep it for use. I had a lot left over and called AGAIN to ask how long it would keep and was told if I use tap water that contained chlorine it was already no good. NOTHING ANYWHERE SAID TO USE DISTILLED OR PURIFIED WATER. So even though it worked customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

This product does not work overnight, That you should be aware of ,But should be one of the many in your flee killer arsonal !! It Disrupts the breeding cycle of the flee , so be prepared to wait about 2 or 3 weeks to see the results . I Did ! . Spray Every day or so , vacuum carpets regularly ,thats important! and apply an ordinary flee spray , Like Ortho , or similar brands , everywhere every day or so ,and you get rid of the pests.Picked up the Gallon spray container at Walmart for 8 bucks . Can Barely smell it .So I spray every other day or so . Also the Capstar flee, or generic brand capsules you mix in the food (Nitenpyram) No harmfull effects at all from my cats ..Dont forget the flee drops you apply to your cat or dog monthly....I've had great success following this regemine , and the Precor REALLY made a differance !
