Nice collection!, August 18, 2009
This review is from: Predator Omnibus Volume 1 (v. 1) (Paperback)
This is a really interesting collection of Predator comics, the stories tha you'll find in it are:
- Concrete Jungle: The first Predator comic ever, it was also a great inspiration for the Predator 2 movie, you'll note some of the similiarities between the comic and the movie, but it doesn't mean the stories are the same, quite the opositte. In this comic you'll meet Dutch's brother, also, General Philips from the first movie is back in this comic, it's a very nice comic, the artwork is terrific and the Predators are amazing. Guess you'll have to read it to know how good it is. A really interesting comic.
- Cold War: Schafer and General Philips are back in this sequel, this time we leave New York and the jungles of South America to find Predators in Russia! Both Russian and American governament are interested in stealing the Predator's tecnology. Again, an interesting comic that worth the read.
- Dark River: The final and less interesting comic that features Schaefer and Philips, it's not bad, but it's just not as good as the previous two. We're back to the jungles of South America, were the Predator that Schaefer believed he has killed in the past is actually alive, and very mad. I didn't like the fact that this Predator has gone crazy and doesn't follow the Predator's rules. And in the end, they didn't tell us what happened do Dutch, wich is very disapponting.
- Rite of Passage: A small comic that features an african fighting a Predator who has murdered he's entire tribe. I find it somewath strange that the guy manage to defeat the Predator with that knife..
- Pride at Nghaasha: Very good comic, nice artwork and nice story. We have a Predator in Africa again, but this comic is much better then the previous one.
- The Bloody Sands of Time: Excelent! Deals with Predators in the trenches at the Great War, very interesting, especially if you like history as I do.
- Blood Feud: The Worst comic in the Omnibus, very boring and confuse. And what a terrible excuse for a Predator comic... I mean... it's to.. i don't know, weird.
The Omnibus is very good, i recomend it to you if you're a Predator fan who wants to enter the Predator's universe beyond the movies.

For 17 dollars you get over 400 Pages Worth Of Predator!, May 10, 2008
This review is from: Predator Omnibus Volume 1 (v. 1) (Paperback)
The stories in the book aren't anything "Special" As some might say but they are extremely entertaining. If you seen the first movie with Dutch as the main character you'll get to know his brother. I won't spoil anymore but the fight between him and Predators is quite entertaining and for years ago the art is quite good.
For this price you get so much is worth it. This is for both comic fans and predator fans alike!
