This book is now in its 4th printing because it exposes and explains the lopsided divorce court system in America and the women who use it for their own financial gain.

This book will make you wonder how Americans ever wound up with a divorce court system that openly discriminates against men, when America has such a plethora of politicians who claim to support family values.

This book should be required reading for every politician, lawyer and judge in the country because it clearly illustrates that a dent will not be made in America's high divorce rate until both litigants in a divorce proceeding are treated fairly and as equals.

The author uses humorous anecdotes and metaphors to make his points, and some women may find these abrasive, but only those who use its techniques should be truly offended.

I first got this book 15 years ago...from a friend and have read and re-read it many times. I am happily married with two wonderful kids and my wife thinks its a gas as well. The one stars are obviously from chicks who fit the "mould" and are upset at being found out. I wonder if everyone knows who the author is? He is or was a commercial pilot for a major airline and has paid MILLIONS to his ex-wives. Boys, read this and look at your lover....and laugh

Oh yes! As one who has been through a California Divorce, from a wealthy woman, this is truth! I find it funny that "Predatory Females" have dialed in to leave negative comments. The book is truer than any Bible you have ever read. I am sure that the Author's former wife and mine compared notes. The attorneys, the bottom feeders, simply do not get it either. Defending a man, they will fight for his "rights" (which truly do not exist) to his last dollar. They will defend you all the way to the poor house. I will never forget my divorce attorney taking my Gold Rolex GMT Date Master, right off my wrist before he would proceed further. I should have just bailed out. I should not have answered the divorce paperwork, not paid the attorney's retainer and simply walked away. It would have been cheaper and less painful. Also never fight for custody of the kids. Joint custody is a myth. If the kids are living with the ex, their relationship with their Father will be totally estranged in 5 to 10 years depending on their age going into the divorce. What a book! Read it and plan that your lovely marriage will end in divorce. Hopefully, you will be proved wrong, if you're planned ahead.

Not all women may be predatory, BUT this book will help a guy identify those that are predatory. Women that find this book offensive, do so because they see themselves within these pages!

In the past five years I know of at least three fellow pilots who were saved from utter ruin by this book. All have steered cleared of women who regard men with the same eye a house cat views a wounded sparrow with. Two of those pilots found better women, married them, and hit the prayer rug on a regular basis to say thanks for avoiding the predators. You'll laugh at this book, but there is, indeed, a serious side to it. It may help prevent you from ending up a penniless old man some day, living in a Ford panel van in some airport parking lot, feeling like you've just had a session on the dreaded silver stallion.

The best jokes have an element of truth to them. This book is much the same,it is written in a funny manner but has an underlying element of truth.The traits discussed by Mr. Shannon are excellent ones to look for in your dating partner. I would suggest it be required reading before marriage.

A humorous and poignant summary of all the reasons why men should avoid marriage unless they simply want to throw away their life's earnings. A guideline for evading a nasty legal system which is poised, at all times, to tear a married man to pieces and send him down the street wearing a sandwich board.

"The Predatory Female" is nothing less than the all-time treatise on the subject of male exploitation by some [ok, most] females, and their host society. This hard-hitting yet uproariously funny book is so loaded with succinct, experience-based facts, that every man who has experience with women will see many or all of his ex-girlfriends and ex-wives within its pages. Only this time, those women will be revealed for what
they REALLY are. It may make you angry, it will always make you laugh, but it will SURELY make you agree! And you will be better prepared for the next encounter.

It is ironic that predatory females who read the book expose their own predation with remarks such as "No REAL man would ever agree with this," "Only little boys [or mama's boys] feel that way," etc. This is predictable, and a positive identification of a predatory female who attempts to control men via their egos [see: page 11, "Unhampered By Ego"].

The fact is that all righteous women should be grateful for Shannon's book, as it provides men with a means to distinguish between decent women and predatory ones -- the good ones will only appear better by contrast. Now ask yourself...What kind of woman would object to that? A truly good-natured woman can only win when a man reads it.

By the way, men who sharply disagree with this work are readily accounted for on page 25, in the last sentence under the section titled "The Volcano."

In any case READ this book, even if you have to pay 10 times the cover price. It is still a lot less expensive than a divorce from a predatory female!! :-)

Reverend Lawrence Shannon has hit on a point that marriage can be basically a facade and that the true nature of the predatory female will rear its ugly head soon after you say "I DO". Read the warning signs...laugh but be wary. As long as you have the information to decode the subtle warning signs of the predatory creature you might be able to live in peace. The reverend will give you the insight to the basic characteristics and habits( which are somewhat predictable)of the female so that you may recognize and take counter-measures in your relationship. The reverends simple rule to remember is that if your going to get married, be prepared to pay for it! The difference between a wife and a hooker is that you'll pay 100 times more for the wife...and get 100 times less! All hall the Reverend! Preach it Brother!

Should I not be around to talk with my sons, I have a passage in my will that specifies that my sons be given a copy of this book from the proceeds of my estate upon reaching dating age. My wife encourages me to re-read it occasionally to keep my immunity levels high.
