Celeste Teal's Predicting Events with Astrology has been such an easy read. One of the difficulties I've encountered in the past with astrology books is that the author may be extremely knowledgeable about astrology but is not able to pass on that knowledge in terms that is easily understood by the reader. Celeste never talks down to her readers and uses language and descriptions that even a person with little knowledge of astrology could grasp. The book provides valuable information on solar returns and progressions and other interesting topics that I had previously not known about, such as Saturn chasing the moon and the Aries point. I highly recommend it.

I have been a student of astrology since 1972. I was lucky enough to have some formal classes in the beginning. Everything that I have learned about astrology since then came from books. I learned how to do composite charts from reading Robert Hand's book. Since then I have never had one book that had so much to offer until Predicting Events With Astrology by Celeste Teal. The book is written in a way the reader can understand and follow. Celeste doesn't waste words. She hones in on a subject and explain it in a clear concise way.

I have accumulated a small library of astrology books since the early 70's. Some I use constantly as reference books. Others just gather dust. Celeste's book will never get dusty on my shelves.

Celeste Teal has given us a real, working, nuts and bolts reference. This is a book that will teach you how to think like an astrologer and take command of a chart reading. If you have been studying astrology for awhile this book is an excellent demonstration on how to put all that accumulated knowledge to some good use. Celeste's book does not spend a lot of time on theory, it does not give delineations for every aspect, and it does not do any hand-holding. Predicting Events With Astrology is a true attempt to teach the grasping of the Big Picture and, in my opinion, the author has succeeded wonderfully. I have gained a great deal of confidence in my ability to delineate a chart since I read this book. Get this book if you have a firm grasp on the "basics" and you are ready for a breakthrough!

As I completely agree with the preceding reviews, I wasn't planning to add anything to them, till I remembered how doubtful I was about ordering this book. If you are like me, you tend to stay away from authors with Seemingly made-up names, but then I realized that every mag article I'd read by Ms.Teal had been very informative, so I ordered. This book is No Disappointment, & one thing I appreciated is her info on using converse, precessed, & converse precessed with your Solar Return charts, giving you 4 layers rather than just the one.Using the 1st natal planet to rise in the Return chart is well-eplained also. Am now ordering her 2nd book, & am very glad I bought this one!

What a pleasure to pick up an astrology book that is l00% useable from the first to the last page! I loved this author's choice of forecasting topics, and in particular, her section on Solar and Lunar Returns as forecasting tools. There is plenty of meat in this section. Teal's Predicting Events with Astrology saves us all a lot of the precious time we used to spend hunting around in a half dozen books looking for examples of, or opinions about a forecasting process. I only wish I had had this book on my desk when I first took up the study of astrology. Well done!

I'm not in the habit of recommending books, but I am so impressed with this one I have to say something. This is an expert treatment of the art of prediction; including progressions, transits, solar returns, lunar returns, nodes and eclipses. Celeste Teal truly has a way with words- she explains prediction and timing in a very logical and intuitive fashion which leads the reader to immediate application. Every word in this book is meaningful - there is no filler! The case studies are superb in illustrating the fundamental approach and the finer points of event timing. Also, throughout the book, the author presents special pearls of wisdom which are the outcome of extensive research and experience in chart prediction. This is a wonderful read, useful cover to cover, and a must have reference!

There is so much true in all that Celeste Teal reveals in her book. Predicting with this book gets easier and you will gain much insight in her delineations. Fortunately this is not a difficult book to read. It contains so much useful information that no astrologer should be without it. All sorts of predictive techniques (returns, transits, eclipses, nodes etc...) are discussed and the delineations are reliable. This is a book you will often refer to, because this is one about what really works.

Celeste Teal describes in an easy to understand fashion the various methods how to predict events through astrology. I first learned about Celeste Teal on her website. I read an article that she wrote and published on her site that I found most intriguing and ordered her book. Since then I keep on picking up the book over to over to reread some paragraphs or for references. And each time I think I get a little deeper insight especially into progression and returns charts...and many other things... This book is very helpful for anybody who already knows some basics about astrology and aspires to learn about predicting techniques.

I have been a student of astrology since 1969 and this book has been a valuable 'refresher course' for me...particularly the very valuable but often neglected technique of reading transits to progressed positions, not just natal positions. The book is well written, with the salient prediction techniques clearly explained and listed in order of importance; followed by many example charts (one of my favorite teaching techniques). I'm looking forward to the author's soon to be published new book. Highly recommended!

What I especially liked about this book is its explanations of secondary progressions. There's also plenty on Returns and eclipses. Teal uses numerous examples to show planetary configurations at work and to show how often overlooked aspects in progressions can be very revealing in predictive work. Included are a comprehensive index, a glossary and a table of eclipses as well as explanations of some rather obscure phenomena such as "Saturn chasing the Moon", the vertex, and Aries Points. This informative, clearly written book demonstrates the timing of important events, and is a must for those wanting to fine-tune their skills in prediction.
