Good for fundamental understanding,

Presented from a somewhat different perspective than I was taught at Dartmouth (Maciejowski jumps right into modeling of simple systems, rather than building from a mathematical foundation), but, because of that, is quite good for developing a fundamental understanding of just what is being accomplished in predictive control.
